His wife said to him, “Are you still maintaining your integrity?

curse God and die!

” He replied, “You are talking like a foolish woman. Shall we accept good from God, and not trouble? In all this, Job did not sin in what he said.
Job 2:7-9

A test is given to reveal the true worth, quality or value of something, in a school setting after students are taught, the teacher always ask these,

“do you understand? Any question?”

At the end for the teacher to be sure the student(s) level of understanding He/She gives a test.

Job was tested by taking all He had including his health, you may not understand the kind of fire job was tested with until you understand the life of a wealthy person, a wealthy person is someone that does what ever He/She thinks with a minimal amount of effort or stress.

Job had all the resources to do things without the need to even lifting a finger, but Job had a very quality lifestyle that He understood that it is God’s favour over his life and not his wisdom that placed Him in that position, His response to His wife is gold.

can you do that?

If you can accept good from God, how about trouble?

Let your worship surpass what you want to get from God, because with or without God remains God.

Anchor scripture
Every man’s work shall be made manifest; for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is. [1 Corinthians 3:13]

Depending on the substance with which your work is made of, it will either be destroyed to ashes or purified to reveal its true brilliance and beauty. If your motive (for service, giving, praying, teaching, and any other goodwill) is to be tested by fire, what will it bring forth?

As defined by The English Dictionary, motive is a reason for doing something, or anything that prompted a choice of action.

Let’s consider motives behind the request made in prayers.

If you believe that prayer works, you will pray. If you get result when you pray, you will love to pray. Because prayer works! Unfortunately, a lot of people pray, without result to show forth. God’s word has revealed to us the possibility to miss out in prayers.

There is such thing as “error prayer”.

Apart from not forgiving and unbelief, the bible says, ‘selfishness’ is also a hindrance
to receiving from God.

Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts. [James 4:3]

Selfish requests in prayer are not in accordance to God’s will; they are evil prayers. Such as prayed for success to steal, cheat, and kill; prayer that both the means and end is to be used for self; to receive glory that is due for God etc. Does God answer evil prayers? Emphatically, no! God cannot be an accomplice in evil.

Decision: I choose to align my motive to the will of God.

Scripture John 4 :20-24

The world today has laid so much emphasis on the issue of denomination more than the person and principles of Jesus Christ, so the saying goes “Come to my church and you will experience God like never before “.

The Samaritan woman’s encounter with Jesus Christ at the well exposes the reality of the question of denominational divides and true worship in John 4:20 ” Our fathers worshipped in this mountain; and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship.”

The age long reality in the body of Christ is that many are making Idols out their denomination. You may want to ask, does that mean we shouldn’t extend invitation to our friends or family to the church we attend ? That’s not my thrust in this matter ,the bible in

Hebrew 10:25A says

” Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing” .

What we should have in mind is this ,the time we spend in church will be tested by fire to see if our worship is premise in truth and spirit according to John 4:23-24

“But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him”

“God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.”

Stay and fight

When the reason to live fades
And your stars become blurred
Your vision only sees the sight of furious men
The raging thrive of aggressive foes
Your perception is of hunger and thirst
Of the needs and yearnings unmet
The thorn in your flesh excruciating even to your soul
The feeling of unworthiness a thrust to your heart
Giving you a thousand and one reasons to give up

I hope you stay and fight!
With the last drip of blood left
With the witty grit remaining

You are the breed;
Who don’t fear death
Nor rushes to meet it

You stay and fight
You are both fire and ice
You knows whose you are
And who are you
You’re made in Victory

Stay and fight!

Purpose is as important as the existence of man. A man without purpose has no difference with a man who is in the land beyond. It is therefore important to always take note of the Purpose of every act we find ourselves involved.

Purpose eases some of the struggles and battle of life. It helps you focus on the lions and forget the barking dogs. You focus on Goliaths and not the talks on the sideways. We pray for the grace for each of us to discover Purpose.

We love you and will appreciate hearing from you. We got other amazing things coming your way.

Matt. 4:2-3
After fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry. Tempter came to him and said,

“If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.”

One of the extreme ways a human can be tested is through hunger, I watched a movie titled ” The 33″ a true story about miners that where stock under the ground, I saw how hunger removed the diplomacy in some of them, that made them wild.
Then I begin to ask myself, what if I was there would I still be gentle and calm in such a situation?

Hunger is powerful and hence the saying,

“a hungry man is an angry man”.

Jesus after his 40 day prayer and fasting needed food and water to gain strength, the devil used that as an opportunity to give Jesus negative ideas by trying him with his power, Jesus didn’t fall for that because He understood that as important as food is to his stomach so is God’s word to his soul.

Alot of people have compromised standards because of food(earthly pleasure), as a child of God, do you still fall for things because you are in position or have the opportunity?

We have more in God’s word than food or anything that life has to offer us.

Mark 10:21-22
Jesus looked at him and loved him.

“One thing you lack,” he said. “Go, sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”

At this the man’s face fell. He went away sad, because he had great wealth.

In our past series “Tool or Medal” you will notice that we talked about wealth as a tool used for reaching lives, when wealth becomes a medal, the abuse of it’s use is inevitable, the rich young man was good at obeying laws but is not willing to let go his wealth to follow Christ,

Simply because His diligence is out of comfort, today we have alot of people that became Christians after they became rich, truth be told it is easier to do religion when you are wealthy because you will earn respect of others with you big donations and contributions, but when you have nothing it would not be easy.

The rich man was tested by Fire but couldn’t withstand it, because He loved his possessions more than God.

Are you effective in your race regardless of what you have?

‘Complete package’

We were monochorionic;
together we seemed diabolic,
You will think we were Identic.
But we had a sensory diversion:
two sides of the same coin.

He was beauty,
I was the beast.
He was the winner,
I was the loner.
He was the way maker,
I was the brick layer.

He had heightened connectivity
and I had heightened sensitivity.
He glows all day,
I resurface in the dark.
He was a raging storm and howling thunder:
I was dampen and tranquilized.
He was the strong and resolute one,
Oh me the poor phlegmatic.

Our constellations never aligned:
we both wondered who would triumph.
I thought I’ll walk away in due course
Or he did retreat at last.
It disgusts that he got all the likes
Seem to be competing in the same place in the sun.

Our spirit was bridled,
I didn’t realize that was me.
Reflecting in different shapes and colors,
I’m the same beauty and ugly.
It’s the beautiful cycle of epigenesis,
Realizing that erupted the me in me
It’s the complete package.
That’s what makes me stunningly perfect.

Are you wondering what life is all about?
Are you struggling to discover your purpose?

We have clues to help you discover your purpose and live a meaningful life.

Life is a temporary assignment. We become victims of chance if we do not understand the purpose to which we were created for and how to accomplish same. It is important that we understand our uniqueness.

Below are ways to help you discover your purpose

  1. Reading. You do not create your purpose, you discover it. For you to discover it takes deliberate act of searching. This act of searching involves reading: Reading through the scriptures, literature, stories and biographies of other people. Your purpose has been scripted from the beginning. It takes an intentional act of reading to unravel it. It was recorded that the greatest man in history; Jesus discovered the place written him. You cannot know and achieve purpose outside of the scripture.
  2. What you love. This is different from ambition. Your joy and peace is in your purpose. Love is a propellant that makes us pursue anything. The love you have for a thing produces wisdom. Love produces determination and tenacity making every challenge surmountable. What you truly love the most could be children, peace, aged etc. find that which you truly love. What is the thing you could do even if no one is paying you? What would you love to do if money was no longer a factor? What are you passionate about?
  3. The place of your pain. What you cry about is a clue to a problem you were created to solve. What are the things you have gone through in life that has caused you so much pain. Sometimes it is not necessarily your experience but an inherent grieve or the experience or reality of others. “Where you hurt the most is a clue to what you may heal the best” mike Murdock. Turn your hurt into healing for others. For instance, you struggled with low self-esteem or domestic violence, could it be that you are called to liberate many in same struggle? Identify your childhood, traumas, adversity and little big things, it may be pointing you towards your purpose.
  4. Writing and sharing our experiences gives us a sense of meaning. Our stories give us a sense of direction, destiny and purpose. “we all have the ability to make a narrative out of our own lives. It gives us clarity on our own lives, how to understand ourselves, gives us a framework that goes beyond the day to day and basically helps us make sense of our experiences” – Emily Esapahani Smith; The Power of Meaning.
  5. what you hate. What causes you anger can be a clue to your purpose. Sometimes you wonder why only you seem to be bothered or angry about a particular situation. Just like Moses; he hated slavery little did he know he was called to be a deliverer of Israel.

Finding our purpose is both an intellectual, emotional and spiritual pursuit. conversely, there is no purpose outside God it can at best be ambition. You have to be aware of who God has called you to be. The ultimate goal of every believe is to make heaven at last but we would not get there until our assignment is over. you need to be deliberate about life. Know why you are here and whether your decisions align to your purpose.
Knowing save you a lot. Sometimes it is evolutionary it is not an event. As we grow and learn, we begin to understand God more and our purpose. We also discover tools to achieve Purpose.

One thing is sure, you cannot edit a blank page. You can evolve and improve as you put your hands to service and helping others.

Thank you so much for reading. We believe this was helpful. We hope you venture into your purpose and make lasting impact. Kindly share and help others discover their purpose.

One day he went into the house to attend to his duties, and none of the household servants were inside. She caught him by his cloak and said, “Come to bed with me!”

But he left his cloak in her hand and ran out of the house. She saw that he had left his cloak in her hands and had ran out of the house

Genesis 39:11-13

One of the highest temptation a man can experience, is the issue of “sex and money.” We all have such temptations.

I am using the word “Temptation” and not “trial,” because there is pleasure attached to this.

Joseph was a young handsome man that feared God, and Potiphar’s wife took notice of him. One of the unique thing about this temptation is that Joseph could “get away” with it.

Alot of people don’t do certain things because of the fear of being caught and not because they fear God.
But see Joseph a young man running away from sex? It will seem surprising in our present time.

If you follow the story of Joseph you will discover that He became the second in command in Egypt after being jailed for something He didn’t do.

Sex was the fire Joseph got tested with and He passed the test, which led Him above his former master Potiphar.

Fire reveals the quality of metal such as gold. If you are not full of the right stuff you will be consumed by the testing fire.

How prepared are you to stand against trials and temptations?
